N.A.S.A. – The Spirit Of Apollo

The 18-track album was released February 17, 2009 after five years in the making. It is rooted in Brazilian funk  but features more than three dozen guest stars, including several mainstays of the U.S. rock and hip hop scenes. The list of eclectic collaborations includes New Waver David Byrne together with rapper Chuck D (“Money”); M.I.A. and Santigold with Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (“Whachadoin?”); and Kanye West and Lykke Li (“Gifted”). Ol’ Dirty Bastard makes a posthumous appearance along with other Wu-Tang Clan members RZA, Method Man and Ghostface Killah. John Frusciante (former guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Tom Waits also appear.
